The TDMA HCU is a member of X-TEL's Host Controller Platform, utilizing the X-136 Spectrum Scanner and GPS as part of the standard unit. The platform is fully upgradeable to other technologies, including GSM/GPRS , CDMA, iDEN and UMTS. Real-time displays, moving maps, and cell site database integration provide all the essential features necessary for rapidly testing, optimizing and benchmarking TDMA systems. The Layer-Messaging Window, a standard feature of the TDMA, displays Layer 2, Layer 3 and detailed Layer 3 messages in real-time and playback modes. The data is formatted so it is easily read by the user. Verification of network operation is achieved by cross-referencing forward and reverse messages with phone activity. The MAHO Status Window displays, within one window, serving cell identification, bit error rate, interrelationships between MAHO-received signal levels, hand-off thresholds, upper and lower adjacent channel levels and other key operating variables related specifically to IS-136 system performance. The X-TEL’s HCU TDMA has effectively proven itself as a leader in the data collection and analysis field. From in-field measurement to post processing data analysis, the TDMA offers solutions that field engineers need.
