X-TEL’s GSM Xi Tablet

X-TEL’s GSM Xi Tablet is a full featured GSM/GPRS field measurement tool designed for testing the air interfaces of 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz networks. The Xi Tablet platform supports both a GSM/GPRS test mobile and USB GPS receiver to perform drive testing, while also including sophisticated inbuilding navigation software for indoor and campus testing.

The GSM Xi Tablet supports a wide range of test mobiles including GSM/GPRS and is fully upgradeable to X-TEL’s Xi Host Controller Platform that supports as many as 26 test mobiles and dedicated scanners across AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, GSM, iDEN and WCDMA/HSDPA technologies.

Xi Rush Street

Xi Rush Street

Rush Street is a set of collection and analysis features that complement X-TEL’s Xi Tablet collection software. Using Rush Street, engineers have access to many analysis features that are typically only found in post processing tools. Key features include the ability to show multiple metrics such as RxLev and RxQual in real time on a moving map that displays vehicle position, active serving base station, neighboring sites, and colored attributes depicting parameters such as handovers, dropped calls and many more.

Color lines extending from the test vehicle’s current location to the base station sectors indicate whether the sector is a server, strongest neighbor or second strongest neighbor. Rush Street includes a complete suite of printing utilities and a powerful plot preview tool with querying and synchronized playback capabilities.

GPRS/EGPRS Data Testing

GSM/EGPRS test mobiles provide real time performance data on both the uplink and downlink paths. Collect throughput metrics, coding schemes and layer 3 messaging using Xi’s automated FTP utility. Display all critical metrics in tables and in user-defined graphs.
