X-TEL Delivers EDGE / UMTS Drive Test Tools to Large European Operator

LOMBARD, IL. – September 27, 2004 – X-TEL Communications, Inc., a leading provider of engineering test systems and services for the wireless industry, delivered integrated EDGE/UMTS drive test solutions to one of the largest European operators offering EDGE and UMTS services. X-TEL’s system simultaneously collects and analyzes EDGE and UMTS data on one test platform. The collected data is fully supported by X-TEL’s advanced processing tool Rush Street to provide engineers a complete solution. These systems can be upgraded to include voice quality measurements and instrument grade scanning receivers. X-TEL now supports more than 30 test mobiles and scanners across AMPS, TDMA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/WCDMA, CDMA and iDEN technologies.
