X-TEL Communications, Inc. Hires Industry Veteran for Sales and Marketing Post

LOMBARD, IL. – February 15, 2002 – X-TEL Communications, Inc., the leading provider of engineering test systems and services for the wireless industry, today announced it has hired David Neumann to lead the sales and marketing organization. Neumann will leverage off X-TEL’s success in the market to expand product offerings and distribution channels for the engineering tools and services targeted for wireless operators.
"David has 11 years of engineering and executive sales management experience in the wireless telecommunications field and offers a keen understanding of the value of engineering and service solutions," said James Richie, president, X-TEL Communications. Before joining X-TEL, Neumann was director of marketing and market management with Acterna, a test and management provider headquartered in Germantown, MD. Neumann also founded and was president of Intelinet, Inc., a software solutions provider for wireless system performance based in Boca Raton, FL. Prior to Intelinet, Neumann held the vice president of sales and marketing position at SAFCO, which was acquired in 1999 by Agilent. During his career, Neumann has also held various engineering positions at Westinghouse, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. Neumann holds a BSEE from The Pennsylvania State University and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
