X-TEL Adds support for Nokia N80

LOMBARD, IL. – April 25, 2006 – X-TEL Communications, Inc., a leading provider of engineering test systems and services for the wireless industry, announced the integration of the Symbian based Nokia N80 to its drive test platform. The N80 will be supported in the next release of the Xi data collection and analysis software. X-TEL will also expand upon its pedestrian test product (“X-PEDite”) by supporting it with the N80 Symbian platform.

X-TEL supports more than 40 different test mobiles and scanners in Xi to test iDEN, TDMA, CDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA and HSDPA technologies. The addition of the advanced Nokia N80 phone for WCDMA and GSM expands on X-TEL’s current capabilities to support all WCDMA/GSM standards worldwide.

Xi includes advanced WCDMA testing capabilities including missing neighbor analysis, five types of pilot pollution and detailed packet analysis covering more than 500 different protocols. X-TEL’s GSM/WCDMA systems are deployed widely in Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
