Rush Street Frequently Asked Questions

How do you display a GSM phone next to a TDMA phone in Rush Street?

Go to "Options->Rush Street" check the GSM phone and the TDMA phone, they will be plotted in the map automatically in both playback and collecting whenever data is available. To tell each one from the other a label is shown next to the Airplain symbol, a TDMA phone in Slot 3 will be labeled TDMA_P3, and a GSM phone in slot 24 will be labeled GSM_P24.

How do I move my data points? For instance, if I want to offset my data so I can see it next to another map to view RSSI and BER next to one another, what is the best way to do it?

Playback / Collecting

To compare RSSI vs BER Rush Street provides trailers. Trailers allow you to see more than one parameter at a time for the same phone without cluttering the map with too much information durring Playback or Collecting, use trailers to view most recent value of other important parameters, for example you could enable RSSI as the main trailer and then view BER as a trailer.

PostProcessing

For PostProcessing, Rush Street uses the power of layered data to allow you to view all RSSI values against all BER values, simply use the RSSI template to create a single value plot and then use the BER template to see all BER data in the map. To offset the BER data click on the LayerOffset tool and then drag the BER layer to a new position. If you would like to move the RSSI data instead of the BER data, simply click on the "Active Layer" combo and choose the RSSI layer, then use the LayerOffset tool.

In my system I have two GSM phones. How do I enable them for Playback at the same time in Rush Street?

Start the playback, then click on Options->Rush Street and then check the desired GSM phones, Rush Street will automatically load the default profile and start plotting them right away.

I am amazed at how fast plot preview works… Can I also plot RXLev for my 850 GSM phone? If so, how?

Unfortunately, PlotPreviews do not support calculated fields at this point (RXLev is not saved in GSM file directly, but it can be calculated using RSSI), support for calculated fields will be provided in comming releases.

During playback mode is there a way that I can see only handoffs on the map? Is there a way to reference these handoffs to my layer messages?

All phone events are plotted in separate layers, to hide all unnecesary events open the LayerTool, check the "View System Layers" checkbox. You should be able to see all layers, look for the event layers (ending with "_Evts") and uncheck visible for any layers which you wish to hide.
